ePropulsion shaft lengths do not conform to typical industry standards (although very little in boating is 'standard'!).
Please double check the length in cm/inches you need for your boat or watercraft before you buy. If you need help, call 01932 247 427 or email info@pushtheboatout.com.

Why shaft length matters in boating
In the marine world, shaft length refers to the length of the driveshaft section on an outboard motor; the distance between the mounting bracket (where the engine attaches to the boat) and the anti-ventilation plate above the propeller.
When you're spending money on an engine - electric or not - matching shaft length is just as important as choosing power. The outboard must match the boat’s transom height correctly or you could run into trouble. If the shaft is too short, the propeller sits too high, ventilation/cavitation occurs and loss of thrust leads to poor performance.
If the shaft is too long, there is extra drag, reduced efficiency, harder steering and potential damage from river/sea bed.
ePropulsion electric boating
Designed to make boating more efficient, convenient, and eco-friendly, ePropulsion electric motors provide a seamless transition from traditional engines.
Why switch from petrol to electric boating? It's environmentally more friendly (zero direct emissions and helps preserve marine ecosystems), lower operating and maintenance costs, noise reduction and instant torque.
Electric engines are suitable for sail boats, fishing boats, workboats, dinghies and tenders. As an authorised UK ePropulsion dealer, we can advise on what's best for you and your crew.
