Anode for Aquamatic sterndrive - single prop drive 200-280 & duo prop drive 280 - Transom shield
Anodes are to be sacrificed in order to protect the drive unit and propeller against galvanic corrosion. Volvo Penta anodes are tested and specially produced for Volvo Penta drives and propellers.
Below are our general recommendations on how to choose the anode for the type of water where the boat is used:
Saltwater - Aluminum
Brackish water - Aluminum
Freshwater - Magnesium
If aluminum anode is not available for your product, select zinc anode instead.
