Volvo Penta Aluminium Anode Kit (23615636)

Volvo Penta aluminium ring anode in two parts for 130S and 150S Saildrive.

This is an aluminium anode for saltwater and brackish use. A magnesium version should be used for freshwater.

The zinc version (ref Volvo Penta 22651246) has been replaced with this alumunium anode. Do not mix zinc and aluminium anodes on any installation.

If 50% or more of the anode has been eaten away by corrosion it must be replaced in order to, once more, fulfil its vital function. Never jeopardise saftey and performance by fitting a non-genuine anode. Remember to never paint over the anodes. If left in freshwater, zinc and aluminum anodes will become covered with white oxide which effectively passivate the anode. If the anode becomes passive, the drive will start to sacrifice itself and this will cause serious damage.
