Fire resistant, self adhesive Volvo Penta 30mm sound absorbent panels (500mm x 1000mm x 30mm)

Excellent isolating and absorbing effect with a density of 100 kg/m3 (6,24 lb / ft3), and well adapted to the noise frequency and noise level of marine engines.They are made of recycled foam, which has a combination of weight and porosity that both insulates and absorbs.

The sound absorbants are sold in sheets of 500 mm x 1000 mm (20 in x 40 in) and are easy to handle both in transport and when mounted. They are available in three thicknesses, 20, 30 and 50 mm, and can easily be cut to shape with a sharp knife. The sheets come in two versions, self-adhesive and non-adhesive.

Fire resistant: QL sound absorbent panels are approved for installation in boats to be CE marked according to EU Directive 94/25/EC. The material is treated with a fire resistant formula and withstands temperatures up to max. 200°C/390°F. The material is covered with an oil resistant foil that easily could be cleaned from any oil spray etc.

For best results, it is important to fit the sheets properly. The joins must be as tight as possible and covered with foil tape to avoid noise leakage or penetration of water, which could be absorbed by the material. For convenient mounting you can use QL – Sound Insulation Hangers.
